-- Lubka finds a new meaning to life as a Romani --

My story starts very sadly.
My husband died very young,
...and my life collapsed.
I was in a big crisis.
I started to drink a lot.
But after two years I pulled myself together and I stopped.
I started attending Catholic community.
It was good, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted.
Words didn't satisfy me. I needed action. I wanted to help Romanis.
I wanted to achieve something, to do something for them.
And somehow I ended up in the ACEC organisation, which happened to be just what I wanted:
A way to help Romanis.
They say that we Romanis don't want to work, that we are the worst,
But it is not true.
There are Romanis who can achieve a lot in life.
They just need to be pushed a little, they need a chance to get a grip.
This work really means a lot to me. It fulfills me and I'm very happy,
No matter how much I have to work or how little I get paid.
What matters is what I achieve and how I help others.
