DigiTales Australia

The 2-year DigiTales project (funded by the European Social Fund) finished in December 2007 with over 100 films from across Europe now online.

In January, Hi8us took an exciting step outside of Europe to work in partnership with ICE (Information and Culture Exchange) and the British Council to share the DigiTales storytelling method with young people in Australia.

Hi8us was based at the Switch Centre at ICE, where they trained young media leaders to create their own ‘digitales’. Following the first week of intense training, Hi8us supported these media makers as they trained other young people in Western Sydney in the art of digital storytelling.

After a successful two weeks, all the produced films were screened at the Campbelltown Arts Centre in western Sydney.
